KIEV, Aug. 5 ‚Äď Mykola Azarov, a senior member of the Regions Party, became Ukraine‚Äôs new economic tzar Friday after Parliament had approved him as the first deputy prime minister in charge of finance and economic policy.
Azarov, as a capable and tough manager, will also control the post of the Finance Minister replacing Viktor Pynzenyk. Azarov is known as the chief architect of the country‚Äôs economic policy in 2002 through 2004.
