KYIV, Aug 21 – Large state monopolies such as Ukrzaliznytsia and Naftogaz should be broken up and sold off, presidential advisor on economic issues and Bleyzer Foundation executive director Oleh Ustenko said.
"How can we push our ship off the dense shoal it is now on? By developing competition, de-monopolizing the economy. The existing monsters need to be killed and dismembered. I'm referring to Naftogaz, Ukrzaliznytsia. The monsters that stand in the way of life, don't let us breathe. For example, the State Food and Grain Corporation should just leave," Ustenko said on Radio NV on Monday.
Ustenko has been advising President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on economic issues.
