KYIV, Aug 12 – Ukraine boosted its underground gas stocks 1.9 times or 7.874 billion cubic meters (bcm), to 16.619 bcm between April 4, when the last heating season ended, and August 10, according to preliminary data from Ukrtransgaz.
Gas stocks were 24.2% higher than on August 10, 2018, and 21.3% higher than on August 10, 2017.
Between August 1 and August 10, Ukraine pumped 768.29 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas into underground gas storage (UGS) facilities at an average rate of 76.8 million cubic meters per day, compared with 74.4 mcm in July, 71.9 mcm in June and 62.9 mcm in May.
