Privat Bank is unlikely to be returned to private ownership: analyst
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, May 17 – International investors believe it is unlikely that PrivatBank (Kyiv) will be returned to private ownership due to large risks for the country.

"It will be such a painful signal [for investors] that it is unlikely to happen," Regional Manager, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine at IFC (the International Finance Corporation) Jason Pellmar said, speaking at the conference Ukraine: Game of Thrones. Final Season? organized by Concorde Capital in Kyiv on Thursday.

"Then it would be possible to forget about international financial institutions in Ukraine," he said.
