KYIV, April 11 – The actual inflation in March was almost in line with the forecast published by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in its inflation report in January, the NBU said.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in March consumer inflation slowed down to 8.6% in annual terms from 8.8% in February. In the monthly terms, prices rose by 0.9%.
The NBU said that in the past month, underlying inflation slowed down somewhat faster than expected, primarily thanks to the strengthening of the hryvnia exchange rate.
