KYIV. April 12 – Ukraine’s power output increased by 2% (877 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 43.666 billion kWh in January through March, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.
Nuclear power plants (NPP) for the three months of this year increased production of electricity by 7.2% compared to the same period last year, to 23.564 billion kWh. In particular, electricity production at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 9.897 billion kWh (3% less compared to January-March 2019), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP some 6.192 billion kWh (24% more), Rivne NPP some 5.288 billion kWh (51.9% more), and Khmelnytsky NPP to 2.188 billion kWh (33.8% less).
