KYIV, March 18 – Construction of reactors three and four of Khmelnytsky NPP, a nuclear fuel fabrication plant, reduction of the share of nuclear fuel from Russia and the power interconnection with the European Union (EU) are priority for Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko said on Monday.
He said the process of diversification of nuclear fuel continues without any loss in quality and cost of production, and he also focused on the fact that in 2018 reactor three of Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plant (NPP) was the first reactor that completely switched to fuel produced by U.S. Westinghouse.
