KYIV, March 11 – The annual inflation rate in Ukraine in February is in line with the forecast of the central bank, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The NBU noted that inflation in February 2019 from February 2018 slowed down to 8.8% from 9.2% in January 2019 from January 2018 and from 9.8% in December 2018 from December 2017. The central bank does not specify the monthly trajectory in 2019, while the quarterly forecast assumes a slowdown in annual inflation by the end of the first quarter to 8.4%, the second quarter to 8.4%, the third quarter to 7.7%, and the fourth quarter to 6.3%.
