KYIV, Feb 26 – The Ukrmetallurgprom association has commended the effect of the export duty for scrap metal in two years since their introduction, supporting a new bill on the increase of the duty from EUR 42 per ton to EUR 58 per ton and its prolongation for three more years registered in January 2019.

The Ukrmetallurgprom association said on its website on Monday that since October 2016 through September 2018 revenue of the national budget, that is the direct economic effect, from exports of scrap metal amounted to almost UAH 1 billion.
