KYIV, Feb 4 – Nuclear fuel produced by the U.S.-based Westinghouse Electric Corporation can be loaded amid the active phase of the second power unit of South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant (NPP) by 2020, Director General of the NPP Volodymyr Lisnichenko told the parliament's newspaper Holos Ukrainy in an interview.
"Loading Westinghouse fuel in the entire active zone of power unit No.2 is part of our plans. As of today, it is loaded with U.S. fuel by 50%. This can happen before 2020," he said.
