KYIV, Nov 26 - President Petro Poroshenko says the introduction of martial law does not mean that Ukraine will conduct offensive operations.

"The introduction of martial law in no way means that Ukraine will carry out any offensive actions. Ukraine will conduct only actions to defend its territory, protect and ensure the safety of its citizens," Poroshenko said at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) in Kyiv in the early hours of Monday, November 26.
