MOSCOW, Oct 12 – The International Uranium Enrichment Center (IUEC) has brought the uranium oxide concentrate (yellowcake) from Ukraine into Russia within the framework of its 2018 agreement on product deliveries with the Ukrainian state-owned group of companies Nuclear Fuel.
The IUEC announced the deal took place on October 11.
“The purpose of the deal with our Ukrainian partner is to secure guaranteed supplies of the IUEC's products for the needs of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The cargo received is to undergo necessary customs clearance procedures and then to be delivered for the technological processing to JSC TVEL’s enterprises that have been processing this kind of the concentrate, enriching it and manufacturing nuclear fuel assemblies for nuclear power plants in Ukraine,” the statement reads.
