KYIV, Oct 10 – Head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan has said that in 2019, over 40% of the national budget will be used to pay debts, and the opportunities for social and economic expenses would narrow, the press service of the Accounting Chamber has reported.
"More than 40% of national budget revenues have to be paid to pay off and service public debt, reducing the budget's possibilities for social and economic expenses. This means that opportunities for raising pensions, wages and social benefits, as well as for building roads, new schools, hospitals, kindergartens and infrastructure development in general, are decreasing," Patskan said.
