KYIV, Sept 28 – More than half of Ukrainians believe that the country has to become a member of the European Union to improve living standards and fight corruption, according to a poll conducted by Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
The majority of Ukrainians (52%) believe that Ukraine has to become a member of the European Union, while about a third of respondents (34%) disagree and another 15% not sure, according to the survey.
