KYIV, Sept 17 – President Petro Poroshenko said the financing of the country's armed forces has increased by almost three times, and a Ukrainian soldier will receive at least UAH 10,000 (about $358 at the current forex rate) per month from January 1, 2019, the presidential press service reported Monday.
According to the report, Poroshenko recalled in an interview with the Public Television channel in Kropyvnytsky that the new figures of Ukraine's draft state budget for 2019, which were considered at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), had already been presented. The necessary instructions were made to the government after the meeting.
