KYIV, Sept 3 - President Petro Poroshenko praised the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, a year after the agreement came into effect making the EU the largest trading partner.
"Exactly one year ago, the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU fully came into effect ... Today we have the first results. The countries of the European Union have become the largest trade partners of Ukraine - the share of the EU in Ukraine's foreign trade has reached 42%. In the first half of the year, we exported goods and services worth $11.2 billion to the EU, which is almost $2 billion more than in the same period last year," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.
