KYIV, Aug 22 – Ukraine will seek to reduce and eventually eliminate its dependence on foreign borrowing during the next 10 years, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said Wednesday.
"We must emphasize that the state should be independent, including from financial point of view,” Groysman said. “But if we look at the last few more than 10-12 years of our independence, we will see that from 2005 to 2013 all Ukrainians were brought into absolute dependence before external and domestic creditors in the form of state debt, which is a very big burden for the national economy and for every citizen.”
