KYIV, Aug 21 – The Ukrainian consumer confidence index in July 2018 dropped by 3.8 points, to 61.8 (on a scale of zero to 200) compared to June 2018, ending its four months' growth, however, the index increased 3.3 points year-over-year, according to monthly research by GfK Ukraine.
"In July the Consumer Confidence Index returned to the level of April 2018. The drop was caused by worsening assessments of the current situation and expectations of future personal income. The index mirrors dynamics of the Business Expectations Index, which the National Bank of Ukraine measures and which changed slightly in the second quarter of 2018 compared to the first quarter," GfK Ukraine analysts said.
