KYIV, Aug 1 – A half of Ukrainians believe that public non-government organizations are needed for healthy democratic development, but most lack knowledge about the already existing ones, a poll indicated.

At least 60% of respondents believe that public organizations are needed in their locality, while 18% do not see any need here, according to the poll by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.
