KYIV, July 31 - The surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in June 2018 was $23 million, which is more than 91% less than in May, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
In annual terms the surplus fell by 92.5%. In January-June 2018, the surplus of the balance of payment accounted for $307 million, which is 70.6% less than a year ago.
According to the NBU, the current account deficit in June 2018 increased 4.6 times, to $125 million (in June 2017 there was a surplus of $23 million), which is mainly due to a decrease in exports of services by 5.5%, to $1.245 billion. The import grew by 7.1%, to $1.244 billion. As a result, the surplus of the balance of services in June amounted to $1 million, while a month earlier it was $156 million, and in June 2017 - $78 million.
