KYIV, July 2 - The amount of money transfers from abroad to Ukraine in the first quarter increased 34.2% on the year to $2.61 billion, or 10.2% of gross domestic product (GDP), the National Bank of Ukraine said Monday.
This is the highest share of transfers to GDP since at least 2008: it was 8.9% in the first quarters of 2016-2017, and its record rate was 9.1% in the second quarter of 2017.
