KYIV, June 20 - Shipment of steam coal to the thermal power plants (TPP) and combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) of Ukraine in January-May 2018 amounted to 2.781 million tons (2.8 times up on January-May 2017).

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry said, in particular, 2.013 million tons of coal (the share of 72.4%) came from the Russian Federation, 623,200 tons from the United States (22.4%), 144,800 tons (5.2%) from South Africa.
