KYIV, June 19 – Gazprom may use a recent Swedish Svea court ruling to restructure its assets in Europe and to avoid paying $2.6 billion award to Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the Ukrainian company said in court filing.

Naftogaz made the comments in a petition to the Svea Court of Appeal in Sweden after the court had recently suspended Stockholm court ruling that had awarded money to Naftogaz.

Naftogaz asked the court to lift its order and let the Ukrainian company continue collecting the award from Gazprom.
