KYIV, June 6 – Ukraine in January-May of this year increased imports of coal and anthracite by 42.9% (by 2.777 million tons) compared to the same period in 2017, to 9.246 million tons.
According to the State Fiscal Service, coal imports cost $1.249 billion, which is 20.6% more than in January-May 2017 ($1.036 billion).
At the same time, Russia supplied coal for $826.656 million (66.19% of imports), the United States for $343.637 million (27.51%), Canada for $48.365 million (3.87%), and other countries for $30.262 million (2.42%).
