KYIV, May 31 – The state gas shipping company Ukrtransgaz appealed to the National Police asking to interfere in the situation with rapidly growing debts of public joint-stock company Odesa Port-Side Plant and the preparation of the plant's products for exports by unidentified persons.

"The amount of debt owed to Ukrtransgaz for the services of gas balancing for the needs of the Odesa Port-Side Plant, which was provided to the Ukrainian Energy Company, increased by another UAH 500 million only in April (the debt of the Ukrainian Energy Company to Ukrtransgaz. In addition, the plant has own debt to Ukrtransgaz in the amount of UAH 473 million). The company is concerned about the rapid increase in debt of the Odesa Port-Side Plant and calls on law enforcement agencies to intervene urgently," Ukrtransgaz said in a statement on Thursday.
