KYIV, April 6 – Ukrhydroenergo hopes to start building solar power plants with a total capacity of around 80 MW in 2018 on the territory of its facilities and assembly a pilot wind farm in Kaniv (Cherkasy region), Ukrhydroenergo CEO Ihor Syrota said at a press conference in Vyshgorod (Kyiv region) on Thursday.
"We plan to build generation facilities consuming alternative sources in our territories: firstly, solar power plants with [a capacity of] around 80 MW. In addition, we have another project. We will build a wind farm in Kaniv. We will place a windmill of near 4.5 MW," he said.
