KYIV, March 19 – Ukraine’s state-owned aircraft producer Antonov is holding talks with Libya on restoration of airworthiness of Libya's An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft being stored in Ukraine since 2010.
"At present, Antonov State Enterprise and the Libyan executive agency for special air transport, acting as the legal successor of the Libyan Arab Air Cargo which sent for servicing the An-124-100 Ruslan in 2010 to Ukraine, with the participation of the potential tenant of the plane, the Libyan Blue Bird Aviation Company, are negotiating an acceptable format for the parties to regain the airworthiness of the airplane on the territory of Ukraine," Senior partner of the Ilyashev & Partners law firm Roman Marchenko told Interfax-Ukraine.
