KYIV, March 13 – Each day of disregard of the award of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ordering to compensate the loss of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrayiny from transit of Russian gas would cost $500,000 to Russia's Gazprom, President Petro Poroshenko said.
"We won the transit case. $4.6 billion is the amount of loss that the Russia's Gazprom is to compensate to Ukraine… Today's idea that Nord Stream 2 must be built has much less supporters. And there is one important detail. Gazprom is delaying the execution of the arbitration award to pay money in favor of Naftogaz... I would like to say that it is absolutely useless. The money will be paid," the president said at a meeting with representatives of business in Kyiv on Monday.
