KYIV, March 5 – Ukraine is ready to go to international courts to make Russia's Gazprom to abide by the award of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce about the compensation of $2.56 billion to national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrayiny, Ukrainian Foreign Ministers Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"They [Gazprom] pay [the compensation] immediately, according to the rules of arbitration. They have already violated the rules of arbitration.... Therefore, we will press. Do not forget, we have the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards. If Russia does not comply with it, we will go to courts - New York, London, all the countries," the minister told journalists in Kyiv on Monday.
