NBU vows to actively promote more cash-less projects in economy
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, March 5 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) plans to be more active in the introduction of projects in the cashless area, including the implementation of the European Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), the update of the e-payment system with the introduction of instant payments and the implementation of the e-hryvnia project.

"Despite the fact that the e-payment system has been changed several times, today, if we are moving to European society of banks, the introduction of Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) is required. This would allow expanding the formats of financial papers and transactions which could be signed in our payment system," acting NBU Governor Yakiv Smolii said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
