KYIV, Feb 19 - President Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis at a meeting in Munich have discussed the situation in Donbas and the need to introduce a peacekeeping mission, sanctions against the Russian Federation, as well as further steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability.
"The parties discussed the situation in Donbas and expressed concern over the ongoing attempts of Russia and militants it supports to undermine the peace process ... discussed further steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense stability, and also noted the priority of development of strategic partnership between Kyiv and Washington," the presidential press service said.
