ZAGREB, Feb. 5 - Croatia’s Defense Ministry on Monday said it wants Ukraine to replace four Soviet-made broken fighter jets MiG-21 it has purchased from state arms exporter four years ago.
The jets have been grounded by the Croatia’s Air Force after repeated malfunctions 3.5 years after taking the delivery from Ukraine.
Croatia purchased the jets for 8 million euros from Ukrspetsexport, the state arms exporter, as part of a plan to overhaul and expand its air force.
