KYIV, Jan 9 - Ukraine in 2017 imported 19.77 million tons of coal and anthracite for a total of $2.744 billion, in particular in December for $313.011 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, Ukraine imported coal from Russia for $1.552 billion (the share in imports of 56.57%), from the United States for $682.014 million (24.85%), from Canada for $182.2 million (6.64%), and from other countries for $327.653 million (11.94%).

Thus, in monetary terms coal imports in 2017 increased by 87% compared to 2016 ($1.467 billion).
