KYIV, Nov 30 – The loss of quorum at meetings by the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) jeopardizes stable operation of energy companies, NCER Head Dmytro Vovk said.
"The absence of one member of the commission since November 13 has made it impossible to make a significant number of both strategic and operational decisions that were prepared in good faith by the commission during the last three or four months. As a result, there are obvious delays in the introduction of a new bill on the electricity market, daily balancing for the natural gas market, the development of renewable power sources and the risks of stable operation of generating and distribution companies related to the non-approval of tariffs and the distribution of funds for 2018," he said.
