KYIV, Nov 22 – A Chinese consortium will build a subway to one of Kyiv’s most populous districts in a $2 billion project, according to a preliminary agreement signed Wednesday.

China Pacific Construction Group and China Railway International Group Co will form the consortium, while Chinese banks will provide 85% of funding.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Vice Chairman of the China Pacific Construction Group, Guo Qing, signed the agreement to build the subway line to the Troyeshchyna district.
