KYIV, Sept 11 - Consumer prices in Ukraine fell by 0.1% in August, but in annual terms (compared to the same period last year) inflation accelerated to 16.2%, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported.

The agency noted in July inflation slowed down to 0.2% compared to 1.6% in June and 1.3% in May, but in annual terms consumer price growth accelerated to 15.9% in July from 15.6% in June and 13.5% in May.
