DNIPRO, Aug 17 - Coking plants in Ukraine imported 6 million tons of coking coal and coal concentrate in January-July 2017, which is 17% or 1 million tons down from a year ago.

The Ukrmetallurgprom association (Dnipro) told Interfax-Ukraine that in July 840,000 tons of coal was imported, 45,000 tons more than in June.

Some 2.3 million tons of Ukrainian coal was supplied to coking plants, which is 35% or 1.2 million tons down on January-July 2016. In July, 370,000 tons of Ukrainian coal was shipped, which is 35,000 more than in June.
