KIEV, July 20 - The Ukrainian government has proposed to Parliament to increase excise duties for alcohol and tobacco products in 2017 by 11.2% as the annual indexation of the excise duties outlined in the Tax Code.
The government approved the bill at a meeting on Wednesday.
According to the document, the excise duty for beer will be increased from UAH 2.78 to UAH 3.09 per liter, spirit ñ from UAH 126.96 to UAH 141.18 per liter of 100% ABV, fortified grape wine ñ from UAH 8.02 to UAH 8.92 per liter, and sparkling wine ñ from UAH 11.65 to UAH 12.95 per liter.
