KIEV, April 21 ??“ Luhansk region governor Henadiy Moskal, one of President Viktor Yushchenko??™s toughest managers, submitted his resignation, Interfax reported on Friday citing a report from the local council.
The appointment of Moskal, a criminal police general, in November 2005 was apparently aimed at bringing the Luhansk region, the stronghold of opposition Regions Party, under stricter control by Kiev.
