KIEV, April 19 – The independent defense anti-corruption committee created by Transparency International (TI) has drawn up urgent measures aimed at reducing corruption risks at Ukroboronprom State Concern for the Ukrainian government.
According to a Tuesday press release of the organization, according to the committee, a top priority task for the government in removing corruption schemes at Ukroboronprom is the quick creation of an independent supervisory board of Ukroboronprom intended to provide for supervision over financial operations of concern members, as well as leaving practice of manual governance of the concern by the presidential vertical power system. The committee said that two out of five members of the supervisory board are appointed by the government. The committee insists that candidates must be discussed in public.
