KIEV, March 13 – The export-credit agency at the first phase of its launch will handle only insurance of exporters: insurer and reinsure their risks, Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Natalia Mykolska said.
"The Ukrainian agency first will provide insurance and reinsurance services," she said in an interview with LB.ua publication.
Mykolska said that the task for today is the completion of a plan to implement the law on financial support of exporters. It envisages the possibility of determining the model of the export-credit agency for the government. There is understanding about the size of the charter capital. The state, for example, would hold 51% or 60% of the agency. International financial institutions (IFIs) could finance the rest of the agency.
