KIEV , Nov. 30 - The National Commission for Communications and Informatization Regulation (NCCR) has approved draft amendments to government resolutions Nos. 993 and 200 foreseeing holding a tender to introduce 4G communications in the 2,600 MHz range.
According to the draft resolution, a copy of which has been sent to Interfax-Ukraine, the communications operators occupying radio frequencies in the 2600 MHz range that are ready to vacate them could receive compensation equivalent to 25% of the 4G license cost if they explain their expenses on vacating the frequencies. Market players that will win the tender are to pay for the conversion of the frequencies.
