TBILISI, March 16 ??“ The European Union, Ukraine and Georgia have been studying construction of a $2 billion natural gas pipeline that would get them access to Central Asian gas bypassing Russia, a newswire reported Thursday.

The pipeline, which would link Georgia and Ukraine across the Black Sea, would be hooked up with Ukrainian gas pipeline network that is already moving up to 20% of Europe??™s gas needs.
