MOSCOW, Sept. 29 – Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) has informed Ukrainian airlines that they have been banned from flying to Russia.
The State Aviation Administration of Ukraine informed Russian airlines earlier that they would be prohibited to fly to and from Ukraine starting on October 25, 2015, the agency said. "Following the orders of the Russian Transport Ministry and being guided with the provisions of the air transport agreement between Russia and Ukraine, the Federal Air Transport Agency has notified Ukrainian airlines performing or planning to perform flights to Russia about the ban on their flights to and from Russia starting on October 25, 2015.
