KIEV, June 19 – The State Property Fund has ensured that public joint-stock company Zaporizhia aluminum plant (ZAlK) is guarded by the Interior Ministry's structures regarding the return of a controlling stake in the plant to state ownership, the fund told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday, referring to SPF head Ihor Bilous before a meeting of the parliamentary ad hoc commission for privatization.

Bilous also said that a meeting of shareholders and the supervisory board will be held soon, and a tender to select the new manager of ZAlK will be announced.

When asked about the removal of equipment from the plant for scrap, Bilous said that the Interior Ministry has seized two trucks and blocked other attempts at removing the equipment.
