KIEV, Jan. 20 - Japan will in 2015, within the framework of international assistance, issue a $300 million loan and a $16.6 million grant to Ukraine to restore social facilities and infrastructure in the east of the country, Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumi said.
"$300 million is a loan that the government will repay in the future. The money will be spent on Ukrainian foreign exchange reserves and will help the government repay debts to various countries. In addition to this, the $16.6 million is a grant to rebuild schools and hospitals in the east, it will used for specific projects," he said at a press conference in Kiev.
