KIEV, Jan. 20 – Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn has dismissed allegations that the terms of contracts for electricity imports from Russia and for electricity supply to Crimea, which were signed in late 2014, were enslaving and unfavorable.
"The parties register the volumes and schedule of electricity supplies daily, if the volume does not meet the economic realities and benefits, the parties can renounce it [the contract]," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday, commenting on a contract for the purchase of electricity from Russia.
According to him, the purchase price is reasonable and is much lower than the price at which the electricity is sold to Crimea.
