BRUSSELS, Jan. 19 – Ukraine is alarmed by the possibility of the EU softening or lifting its sanctions against Russia, and has urged the EU not to alter the sanctions until Russia compensates it for losses incurred.
This time, there's no place for an illusion on the possible resolution of the situation in Ukraine by constructive cooperation with Russia. We shouldn't forget the lessons learnt in the recent past, reads a position paper distributed by Ukraine's representatives among the EU foreign ministers before their meeting on Monday.
