KIEV, Jan. 16 – Three companies have submitted documents to participate in a tender to receive licenses for the provision of UMTS (3G) communications services, the National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) said on its website on Friday.
"After voting [in the tender commission] nine applicants on three lots [three companies] were declared as bidders in the tender," reads the report.
The regulator did not name the bidders for radio frequency bands; however three key market players – Kyivstar, MTS Ukraine and Astelit mobile communications operators – have said that they submitted documents to the tender.
