First ship carrying coal from South Africa drops anchor in Illichivsk

KIEV, Oct. 23 – The first ship carrying coal from South Africa dropped anchor in the Illichivsk commercial port in the Odessa region on October 23, a source in the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry told Interfax.

The ship with 85,000 tons of coal on board was due to arrive on October 16-20 and Ukraine is supposed to receive 250,000 tons of coal monthly in accordance with an agreement with Steel Mont Trading Ltd on the delivery of one million tons of South African anthracite.
